Convertible fold down rear seat back cardboard

Hi Guys and hpy New 2022 year.

I on a 67 convertible with fold down rear deluxe seat.
I notice on the Web  that some where 4 screws to maintain the rear cardboard to the  frame.
I'giveca look to mine but there are no holes in the frame ...
Like my car is oné of the first 30000 build,  is it possible that  GM add the screws after to prévent the card to fly ?

Philip, I believe all 67's with the fold down seat were SUPPOSED to have the screws (3 by the way, not 4), but I haven't investigated this in much detail. However, I DID find a prior thread where the owner stated his 67 didn't have the screws either where I replied with some part numbers. HERE'S THAT THREAD.

Also, the 67 partition was different than the 68 and 69, and the 67 convertible was even different than the 67 coupe. Here's a picture showing the coupe partition, but I don't have one showing the convertible. Note the lack of screws.

You may not see any screw holes, but you SHOULD see the "dimples" where they would have drilled to attach the partition. Do you see the dimples?

My 67 11B LOS vert has 3 captured washer trim screws along the top edge, and they were there back in 1985. What build week and assembly plant  is your car?  Per the cowl tag, is the fold down seat factory?  Would have code L in the first group.

My car is norwood  assembly plant 11b too.
It's a convertible with power top.
I by a New cardboard several years ago,  and yesterday  i search  for some hole in the frame Hut don't find any except 2 'big'  at the half of the high both side...

Philip, you may not have the holes, but you SHOULD have the dimples (see below)

No dimples in my frame....slity différent cause it's for à  67 convertible....
I can only see the big ones as you have to ,below in the Middle off the high

Look closer. Those dimples are very shallow and extremely difficult to see. You may have to clean the area if there's glue residue or rust.

I have check even with à Light  at the other side.....no dimples

Can someone make me a template with the correct location for the holes and screws.
Or give me the correct location with mesure for à 67 convertible ?

I just went out and measured mine (see drawing below which is NOT to scale) and the two outboard screws are exactly 12" in from the side panels. The middle screw is exactly 11" between each outboard screw and all three are exactly 2.75" down from the top of the package shelf. All measurements were made center line to center line (C/L - C/L) of the screws.

However, read my "NOTE" in the drawing and see if some of the other guys with fold down seats can post their measurements.

I've owned a few first generation Camaro convertibles and as far as I can remember, none of them had the cover. In addition, I can find no information on the "shield, Motor Assembly" for any model except the full size cars (up through 1964), and the Chevelle (1964-1967), which states that it's not available as a service part. There's also no mention of the shield in any of the 67-69 Camaro Fisher Body manuals and to be honest, I don't remember ever seeing one on any Camaro convertible. That doesn't mean they didn't come with one but there's no info that I can find. I DO see them from the repop vendors, but of course, that means absolutely nothing. If they DID come with a shield, these were the kind of parts that were tossed in the trash the first time the car went into the shop!

I've attached the exploded parts diagram from the 64-67 Chevelle (item 66) and you'll notice the shield faces the rear of the car. (The diagram for the 55-64 full size car shows it in the same location - facing the rear of the car.) I don't have a drawing of the Camaro, but I've also attached the drawing for the 65-70 full size car and you'll notice there's no mention of the shield, which is just one more reason I don't believe the Camaro ever came with one.

However, that being said, I DID find the diagram for the 67-69 Firebird and it DOES have the shield (number 67 in the bottom picture, and again, not available in service). This doesn't mean the shield came on the Camaro since the Firebird got a lot more "do-dads" than the Camaro, but it makes one think!

I Will install screws to avoid the "flying carboard".... it hapen once , don't want to  have another problem.
