Greetings all, I am curious as to the function of the insulation blanket on the underside of the hood. Cowl induction I get but why the blanket? I've always ran with the impression that heat is the engines enemy so why keep it under the hood?
Thanks,
Hank

In this instance the car is a standard interior. Was the decision to install blankets driven by solid lifter noise?
Thanks,
Hank

I wouldn't think so. My L48 RS/SS w/deluxe interior has the hood insulation.
