Should the deck lid stripes on a Z/28 stop are the bottom of the spoiler or continue on as on this Camaro?

Neither end is correct... not on the deck lid lip with a spoiler and it should not continue to go under the Vtop trim.

Agree. It's interesting to see the seams in the vinyl top where they're supposed to be...Joe

The forward side by the vinyl top is incorrect as it should end 5/8" from the vinyl top, but on the rear my understanding is that the stripes are correct under the spoiler like that if the spoiler was installed by the dealer...

Dealer installed spoiler configuration is incorrect for a factory restoration unless there is paperwork regarding the installation as previous to the initial vehicle sale.
In the event such paperwork is not present the car either gets the spoiler and no stripe on the lip or gets the stripe on the lip and no spoiler...

Here is a photo of the rear of my '69 Z28 wtih vinyl top, deck spoiler, and "factory paint "   (late 09C build (Sept 18, '69)....  from this one photo see how close stripes come to rear of vinyl top, and  shows no paint under spoiler with spoiler removed for repair of a spoiler stud.

By "factory paint" do you mean original paint Gary? I thought spoiler cars had stripe over spray under the edges? Yours looks like a tape line.

My 68 has a tape line also. It's about 1/2 way between the spoiler holes. LA car....Joe

Yes, its original factory paint (from the firewall back)...  The hood and possibly the front fenders were repainted once upon a time before I bought it in 1976.  This photo was made after removing the spoiler and washing, polishing, and waxing underneath... so if there were any overspray it was removed when I did that (and I don't recall - if I find a photo I made BEFORE I cleaned it, I will post it, but all I recall is that it was very dirty and oxidized underneath.)...

No taped line; striping done after spoiler was mounted.
