Note there is more blue overspray on the rh upper side panel than the left. John Z stated that Fisher hung the cowl vent grille along the side of the roof for paint.

Bryon,  that car appears to be in beautiful condition (as one might expect for a very low mileage car that was always garaged and conditioned)..  Is it yours??

The photos posted are a little deceiving on this point as I had not yet wiped off 49 years of dust ;D Here's a couple more that still support the point, just a better perspective (and dust wiped off) on the true difference for this car - definitely more paint on the RH side.

Here's some photos of those little white paper tags that are stuck to each door shell as well as each rear interior shell panel.  They are tough to read, but it appears that one says "RUN 38" and another says "NOR 38".

Has anyone confirmed if LOS did anything similar?  Haven't looked my 68 LOS to see if there is a difference left to right.  Also anyone have a photo of how it was mounted or angle?

BTW great photos Jim.

Here are some shots of the carpet and sound deadener.  Owner from the late '70's told me that it was all original carpet, the two owners between him and I confirmed they did not change it.  All the sound deadener pcs. definitely are legit originals.  The rear carpet had been replaced - found a tag that states 8 8 79 and you can tell the backing is not "factory".  The front piece however appears to be original, albeit "hacked up" pretty badly when the automatic was installed in the late '70's.  I'm posting this only because of the chalk writing found on the underside of the front carpet.  Anyone else ever see this on an original set of carpet?  If the opinion is this is not original, I'll delete this post.

I have never seen front sets as long as those... they never have slots cut for the tracks on the font sets, they just turn up and flop over the front bolts.

If I understand you correct firstgen, the front set would not have any cutout for the seat tracks, i.e. the back edge of the front set would line up with the vertical edge of the seat track?
Here's some photos of the carpet set as I found it installed in the car.  As I mentioned, I know the back carpet is not original for sure.  The front set has it's rear edge way back to almost the mid-point of the seat.  You can kind of see where it falls with respect to the center console.  What have others seen?  Want to make sure I'm not posting misinformation here.
