So last weekend I found a matched set of 4 torque-thrust looking wheels on C/L. After I got them home and spent a few hours getting them cleaned up (whatever they were on -pretty sure it was sunk up to the axles) and the old rubber off  - I was able to get a   good look at the backs - I think they are from a manufacturer by the name of Appliance Plating or "AP" - but not sure since I've never heard of them (comparing to Ansen, ET, American Racing, etc.) and there's limited information out there. They cleaned up really nice (must have been the mud) and seem to be of good quality. The only stampings on the back are "A JAPAN 9 27".....thoughts or memories?

Dang. That's a pretty close match. Thanks for the info. Now I'll need to track down the center caps in the second picture!
