FYI, Chevrolet By The Numbers lists:

7029200 1969 Camaro 396/325 A/T
7029201 1969 Camaro 396/325 S/T

7029204 1969 Camaro 396/350 A/T
7029215 1969 Camaro 396/350 S/T

There are obviously more cars listed under each part#.

You guys know what has been observed on the cars.  Just thought I would throw that out there...

I just looked at my carb number, 11A 396-325 AT, as stamped 29200EE. I assume the complete # 7029200EE. Is this a Chevrolet replacement carb?
George.

Thanks for looking NoYenko All I'm saying is maybe when they were putting these cars together , the quadrajet they grabbed was close enough for them. I don't know the true answer

Wasn't there a recall due to the issues caused by the intake manifold hot slots either causing fires and/or carb plates to warp? Could this have been a replacement if the dealer deemed the carb should be replaced?

Just a thought.

My '69 396 325HP Auto w/o AC Van Nuys Camaro had a 7029200 EE carb on it when I purchased it in '81.  For years I thought it was the original correct carb, as most if not all publications back then only referenced that carb.  However, over time I discovered two things;  the carb's date code was several months later than the car build date, and my chassis broadcast copy box 176 appears  to have code FF.  With this information, I decided to shelve the 7029200 and went with a 7029204 FF.

but I was just trying to hear from someone who actually has this exact car/options combination.
But I'm looking at data from people with that exact car/options combination. Decade of data vs just who is online today.......

Lots of cars like GVBill's where the orig carb has been replaced.
