is there a format that we follow to advance to different levels with CRG? how does someone become a full member and for that matter a Tech?

Thanks

Not sure about the Tech status, but I think it has something to do with how many posts you make.  Doug would know more.  The Veteran level was assigned to anyone that had been registered on the old forum.  As far as Full Member, this link will tell you more: http://www.camaros.org/aboutcrg.shtml#Memberships

Thanks for the response Daniel.
I did look at the link before I put the question out there. I did not see anything regarding what you mention about how many posting. I know the veteran label was put to all of us from the old site. I saw on some other sites that there had different levels of memberships based on fees. I didn't think CRG was set up this way. You are probably correct in stating it is by the posts one makes.

Thanks again

Hows that 67 doing?  Wiring working out well?
I'm in jolly old England looking for an MG-TD, but I saw a great 69 Z28 near Portsmouth yesterday.  Who would have guessed!?!
My experience has been: 50 posts = Jr Member; 100 posts = Full member.  Don't know if there is anything beyond.  Would love to know from Doug if there is...

Veteran and Full Member are both 3 stars.  Veteran's come from the previous forum.  Full Members require 100 posts on the new forum.

Newbie <50 (1 star)
Jr. Member is 50 (and 2 stars)
Sr. Member is 250 (and 4 stars)
Hero CRG Forum Member is 500 (and 5 stars)

CRG members/Admins/CRG Coordinator all have 5 stars

Nothing is intended to be offensive to anyone.  We can change the names and stars of any of this.  It's just a game anyway, a typical male way of trying to keep some type of score. ;)

Since I am visiting this site I might as well introduce myself , if I may.     My name is Don Dabbs, from bad sandlands of west Texas.   I am old , sorta been there done that .   I have been into Trifive restoration for a long time but not for profit.   I have a 69 Z , 12A car , 9n554389, purchased in Dec 1968 while working at a Chevy dealership in deep south Texas.   Did this for some 20 years and then some in back ground while working in oilfield.
Some of you may have read my responses, excuse the english and wording, I have enjoyed your topics and some very interesting comments.    I do recognize some of the signatures and even Mr Wilcox.    I normally sit on the porch at Team Camaro and ventured off on one of the cross posts here.
So if I may continue to read posts on CRG, please allow me to.      Just thought I would drop in and finally say , Howdy  ;D

I've seen a couple of sites where all they do is post to increase their post count. It really is a contest.
It's strange -  lots of posts, very little added value.

Sorry Kurt, that wasn't my intent at all.  I was just trying to have a little fun on April Fool's Day.  Anyway, no more post on my part unless it's absolutely necessary.    :-X

Good luck to everyone with your Camaros and your endeavors!    :)

Paul,
I wasn't even obliquely referring to you.
Just commenting on the different approaches of some forums to posting. :)

Post away!
