The Penske Camaro on pit road prior to the start of the 1968 Daytona 24-hour race. This is the only year when the Daytona 24-hour was part of the Trans-Am schedule. Roger Penske is leaning in giving Mark last minute instructions while chief mechanic Roy Gane listens in.

Two gold and black Camaros taking off at the start of the 1967 Sebring 4-hour Trans-Am race. The #22 is driven by Charlie Kolb of the Fred Baker Racing Team and the #4 is driven by Johnny Moore (entered by HRH Corp, Hugh Heishman's entry).

I've posted these in the thread discussing GMP models but they should probably be here too.

Penske Camaro at the August 6, 1967 Bryar Trans-Am showing location of battery in the trunk. Note
the rear spoiler is taller than a stock GM piece and 1/4" pinstripe is not seen on the spoiler itself. This
is the rear spoiler I talked about earlier that was used only at Bryar, Marlboro and Continental Divide.

Mark Donohue broke an axle (twice) at the '67 Bryar Trans-Am and tore up all his new, thin-gauge sheetmetal.
Do you see that little dot on the rear spoiler, just outside of the rear stripe? That's a big slotted head screw
(painted body color). There were three of these, one in the middle and one each to the outside of the stripes
to hold down the front of the spoiler. Style points = zero.

Some photos courtesy of Tim Lopata. They are frames captured from a Trans-Am film he has.
These two are of Robert Barg's Z-28 Camaro during the '69 Trans-Am season.

This would be the 69 Mid-Ohio T/A.  Tim has a racing T/A film?

Robert Barg

He says they are clips from a movie called "Ford Flat Out". Maybe this is the one Dick Hoffman did the filming for at Riverside? Here are a few more from the same movie.

The car # at Mid Ohio was # 50.  Dick used # 48 at Riverside, his usual race #,  according to the photo with the camera on my "interview" thread. Also I don't see any camera on the car in Tim's photo.

I didn't phrase that very well. I don't believe that he did the filming for the entire movie, just the part that was on the track at Riverside.

Maybe I didn't make it very clear either, but the car with #50 only ran at Mid Ohio, so somewhow it ended up in Ford film also.

I used to send my racing films to Old Cars Weekly to post for me but the person that dowloaded it to YOUTUBE doesn't work there anymore.

The film is so quick images were hard to capture.

Thanks, Tim. Even though blurry that one picture looks like Frank Search's '68 Camaro spinning in front of Dick Hoffman's '67 and Gerry Gregory's '69 at the '69 Riverside Trans-Am.

Here are a couple of photos of Mark Donohue's Camaro at the '67 Marlboro Trans-Am.
