10 bolt parts on a 12 bolt?

Picked up a 67 posi 12 bolt today at the Turkey Rod Run with no axles or brake backing plates. I believe the brakes and backing plates will fit, but what about the axles?? The only reason I ask, is I remember something about 10 bolt tubes being the same as 12 bolt tubes.

EDIT: info I posted was incorrect

The 10 bolt ones will fit just went outside and looked and it was the full size 12 bolt that I was thinking of my mistake

Thank you, I thought they were the same. Any thoughts on a donor other than the proper 12 bolt backing plates?

Very cool so the brakes are the same as I thought. Now if someone knows about the axles I'll be set, picked it up for a song.

10 bolt is 28 spline , 12 bolt is 30 spline
