Seen a very rare 68 Camaro SS yesterday at a local car show.  It even had the factory 327 in it according to the owner.   SS too!   Hmm... should have taken a picture of it but was inclined not to.     ;)

Youll never convince the owner he was wrong. Flatearther.

That's my point.  According the the owner, he swore it was factory.  I didn't want to argue with him.

That owner can believe what he wants. Hell, I put a 302/290 sticker on the air cleaner of my 6 cylinder. The reactions were priceless.

If anyone has the 67-8 Reference book by John Hooper, look in the 6 cylinder section. I'll post a photo when I get home unless someone beats me to it.

Feast your eyes on the experimental prototype 302/290 6 cylinder engine.

You could bore a 392 chevy .060 and get very close to 302.   Just round up.   301.15

Z10Mike

That's a 292 six with an over bore.  I recall some early drag cars with 300 inch side-draft carb stove bolts in them.

lynnbilodeau

Yeah, meant 292.   Damn fat fingers.
