Heater Core

New to this forum; looking forward to learning more about 1st Gen. Camaros.

I have a heater core question:  Which 1st Gen. Camaro takes a 2" (thick) heater core?  I recall '67-68 differed from '69; not sure which is which?  I believe the other was thicker; perhaps 2.5".  Reason:  I have a nice copper 2" heater core that I (hopefully) do not need.

Just removed heater core from my 68.

I always believed 67-68 were 2.5" and the 69 was 2".

This surprised me being only 2", (# 68C) perhaps being a July 68 build it got a change that went into the 69 model.

Found some good information, 2.5" was superseded in March 68 by the 2". Same case was used right through just different clips and pipe seal.

Anyone have any clips for the 2.5" heater core?  I am in need of some or I will have to make my own.  Where did you come across the info? Thanks.

I got the information from the following link on another forum. I cant find information on the clip for the 2.5". I could only find a 2.5" core here in NZ so I will use that to replace my 2". I will update how I get on with installing. I'm thinking I will have to make clips also.
