google up  -  wheels.ca Craig Fisher 82, Canadian sedan racer

Craig and I were friends. He was an underrated racer and a quality human being. He earned the first points for Chevrolet in the Trans-Am by virtue of his second place finish at Daytona and the first points for Pontiac when he raced a Firebird in '68. He will certainly be missed.

Thanks Jon for that link to the article on Fisher from the Canadian source. Here's a photo of Craig Fisher (in truck) and Jerry Schwarz from the '68 Continental Divide Trans-Am. Also Craig is seen in the Firebird circa July '68.

In the WHEELS article, Craig mentioned his 1962 Catalina being chased by Minis at Mosport. I took these pictures at Mosport in October 1962 where I attended my first ever sports car race.

Here are a couple of shots of the Fisher way cool  8) '57 Chevy, I think I found those on the "Remembering Mosport" Facebook page ?  (no credit for the pics)

There are quite a few fisher pics on revinstitute... I was looking for early 63 Z06 pics (to see when the first 2 bar knock offs appeared in competition) and ran across quite a few I had not seen before.
Dick Thompson's car and another were running 2 bar knockoffs by March of 63... (well within model year)

So sad to hear this news, Craig was a salt of the earth person who almost almost always had a smile on his face. I feel very fortunate to have known him, even for a brief period.    R.I.P. Craig
I remember seeing the  777 Catalina wining at St Jovite in about 1965 while I was still a teen.
