and the weather was nice over the weekend I decided I needed to get ole blue out.  So Saturday I changed the oil.  This was the first time since building the engine to change it; so after draining and filtering the oil I could NOT find any metal or debris to speak of so that was good to see.  Or should I say not to see..  :grin2:  While the oil was draining I changed out the Hurst plastic bushings on the shift rods to the upgraded steel ones and also changed the stock style shifter knob to a vintage white Hurst T handle.  Once the oil was changed I took the ole girl out to stretch her legs a little.

This video was done a few weeks ago on another nice day when I had to pull her out to do some things in the garage.

This is just a couple quickie videos of rowing through the gears.

Lastly is the comparison between the stock vs aftermarket Hurst handles.  I gotta say that I absolutelyLOVE the T handle..

Darrell,

The car looks great and the wide meat stance certainly makes the car stand out from the crowd these days!  :)

*Everyone loved the Hurst T handles when racing on the street; that's why they were so popular 'back in the day'... :)

PS.  Your last video reminded me of the time I tried to 'hand hold' a camera while riding a wild roller coaster!  :) ..  I mostly recorded my feet and the floor of the car and it wasn't stable at all.. :)

Lol yeah as you can tell I wasn't concerned with the shot of the camera when I was charging through the gears..  I need a Go-Pro!!  I will have to invest in one before hitting the strip in July if the stars align..  I have an aluminum T handle that I will use when I hit the track..  I dont want to break this white one.
