Looking at these block numbers?  Problems??

I don't like them. Block numbers are stamped too high. Don't like the vin either. Circular decking marks.

Thanks for your input, I was a little worried that the 19N was deeper than the rest or the partial, also. Anyone else thoughts???

You can mask the pad during any decking operation and only deck UNDER the heads...   but this only works IF you want to preserve the original stamping, NOT if you want to eliminate the original and restamp to your nefarious fraudulent purposes!!

Don't know about all this other BS being talked about I was just looking for thought on these numbers. My customer bought this car which is real nice and the motor has some issues so he asked me to check it out and check the numbers out. I don't really see any of the original broach marks either?

Thanks

Is it possible the block was decked and the numbers restamped? I'm sort of in that boat: decked block, lost numbers. Even if I could "find" them I'm really hesitant to restamp because it would look like a forgery.

WTF dude..  I think you need to take it down a notch..  BTW TAKE OFF THE CAPS LOCKS

Back to the original post.  The block is a restamp in my opinion but would like to see a photo from straight down onto the pad.  If the deck was squared then there would be less of the stampings visible..
