I am pulling my hair - or at least the rest of it...... :-(

My left headlight door has allways worked - until a few mounths ago, where I had to remove the complete tacho gauge cluster in the dash, and I cant say NO to that I have been messing around with the wires on and behinde the light switch - could that be the case ??

The door opens nicely when I turn on the light - but it do not close again when I turn off the light. If i manuel try to close the door, and let go, it opens again ( when the light is on )

I have been checking the 2 limit switces that they work when to button is pushed.

Anyone? please chip in ;-)

Thanks

First 2 things that come to mind is either you have a grounding problem or the diode could be bad from the wire going to the ignition switch.

Groundproblem has been on my mind - but where to look, on the ignictionswitch ?? where is the diode located ?

Diode is in the RS under dash wiring harness.  It will be wrapped up in cloth tape.  Just check voltage through the wire.  You should have voltage one way and not the other.

Have you messed with the relay board under the fender? Whenever mine act up I can usually jiggle one of the plugs on one of the relays and it all works fine again. Mine are the original DD relays. I dont know if youve replaced the whole relay board with new, your car looks a lot nicer than mine. LOL.
