In the assembly manual on page 57, it clearly describes a color code stripe on the eye of the front of the rear spring.

Was this done at the factory (I assume so) to distinguish various spring applications or for checking torque specs after assembly?

Are there documented cars with this on it?

Was the color code stripe a paint dab or a sticker?

What color was the stripe/dab if you had a 69 Z/28 Norwood build?

Thank you CRG!!!

That looks to be a 67 thing before tags were used.
This link discusses that topic: http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=9739.0
The only thing I can think of for using paint dabs in 69 (if it was actually done and not that the manual was just not updated) is it was limited to mono springs. It's just a guess though.
