Here is an ad for the 1968 AMC Javelin that boasts about the 2nd and 4th place finishes of Team Javelin at War Bonnet Raceway.

Fuel cells became mandatory in Trans-Am cars beginning with the War Bonnet race. Before that
it was perfectly acceptable to use a standard steel gas tank with no foam or special liner. In fact,
A/Sedan cars could continue to use a simple gas tank if their owner wanted to.


I wonder how many people took up Mark on his offer?
