Curious if there are any known consistent, correct inspection markings for the Center Link.   Based on a few forum reviews and discussions with others, its not clear what if any consistent inspection markings have been found on the Center Link.

Here's an older forum on the topic:   http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=17558.msg160038#msg160038

Here's some pictures of the Center Link and noted inspection markings from my '69 Camaro Z/28, Van Nuys build, 04B.

Note the Big Pink blob plus a few circular stripes with some yellow as well as the two white dots near the idler arm.

Thoughts?   Are these correct and should I replicate?

I've not noted or read concerning consistent markings similar to driveshafts but the shaft has original finish look so why not? Document and I'd replicate. Assume you will restore by utilizing gun blue method and then go for it. Love the original things we find Hans.

The centerlink on a 67 I did for someone years ago was slathered nearly end to end with markings. I could not go that overboard with it so I dialed it back.

Appreciate the feedback Chick.   Yes, I've documented the inspection marks and based on your and other feedback, will most likely attempt to replicate the graffiti.

And yes, I did hot blue the center link, following the process Lloyd used.
