302 Decal on a cowl plenum lid

Did the cowl plenum air cleaner get the 302 decal if the car came from the factory with that option? Im undecided on weather to put one on mine.

Ron, the cowl plenum breather came in a box in the trunk of the car and did not have a 302 emblem on it.  BTW, your motor looks great!  Mark

Sorry, I looked at your username (69RSZ) and assumed you meant "cowl induction air cleaner".  Mark is correct!

Thanks guys, Mark im waiting to get the trans back and in it goes! then back to the bodyshop for the front nose to be put on. it may be done for carlisle but im not counting on it

All of the cowl plenums for 67 and 68 models did not have a 302 decal on the lid.  When the cars were delivered, the C/P was in the trunk and a standard open element chrome air cleaner was on the carb when it left the plant.  In most cases, dealers would not install the air cleaner!  Many dealerships stated that it would void the warrantee if installed.  Our research has indicated that many who bought the cars new either had to do it themselves or have a speed shop install it.
