The SS396 (69) needs new tie rod ends and an idler arm.
I see many different options out there. This is a driver - noone will notice if they don't look exactly original, but I'd prefer they at least look close.
Recommendations on what/whose to get?
Thanks!

I would go with MOOG from rockauto unless you can get them cheaper locally..  None of the otc auto parts stores are gonna look 100%  like originals.

X2, Rock Auto a great source. Keep in mind the Moog rod ends have slightly thicker rods, there is a slight step between the rod and the threads,  but good choice.

98% of the people wont notice and the ones that do just do them like my buddy Clyde does when we leave..

Thanks! That makes it easy.
Same story on the idler arm - Moog?

I worked at a Camaro Parts business 1983-1997. We had boxes full of NOS GM tie rod ends, sleeves, idler arms, ball joints, bought out of Chevy dealers. As we got into restoring our '67 Z/28 and COPO projects, imagine my surprise when most of the NOS was not an exact match for the original assembly line parts on the cars.

Obviously GM had several sources for this stuff. Wouldn't worry about it.
Learning more and more about less and less...
