There's a huge auction of cars in Auburn, IN this weekend (beginning Thursday), which include almsot 450 cars from the John Scotti collection (big Montreal car dealer who has a huge car collection).   All his cars are selling at no reserve, and includes several first gen camaro, big blocks, Z28's, etc..   Here's an example...

How could anyone want a 69 (especially HO 69   ;D) over something as beautiful as this.

Seriously though, there are a few things wrong with the car but if it has docs and/or the correct drivetrain it could bring a decent price.  Pretty car nonetheless.

Scotti probably has a half dozen early Z28, and maybe a dozen early Camaros in that auction.  I only posted this one to give you the link to peruse the others..  I think this green one will be the first of the first gens going thru the auction...  (I like the Rallye Green color).. :)

#3
If you are an AACA member, you can get a free pass into the auction with your membership card.  It is in conjunction with the Auburn special meet.  I plan to go by... that's "by", not buy"....

Turned out to be a good auction. Plenty of #3 and #2 cars for less than $25,000. Camaros went about as expected.
Met solidaxle who was showing his 69 Z at the AACA meet. Nice car! Good restoration!

The 69 Pace Car did not sell.  Looks like they wanted at least $75,000.

And congrats to solidaxle on his First Junior!

Solidaxle's sweet 69 at the AACA Special Meet...

At the ACD Museum... when the most important thing about cars was design....
The museum is in the original show room and offices.

The NOMAD sold for $44k plus buyer's fee.
I did not see it go across the block, but I did see it... Made my mouth water.  Actually not bad for a nice Nomad.
Prices are now online.

...And can you believe a 68 vert for $20k.  It's a 327/210, but that's a good buy for any convertible.

Hey DW, that green 68 Z brought $49k.
