Looking to replace the timing chain cover on my '67 327/275 as I just discovered while cleaning it has developed some pin holes & is weeping oil. Bone stock orig.  engine & I'm a little confused when looking for a replacement - what I specifically need in regards to the right size? (7",8",short,deep, etc., etc.). Also - what vendor carries the best  OEM type part? No chrome! Looking for basic painted cover. Thanks

I believe you will need the one style with the welded on scale as opposed to the bolt-on scale.

Depends on where the holes are, but I'd weld or braze the holes closed and use the original part.

I agree with Kurt...   repair rather than replace whenever possible..  :)
