1967 Camaro Deluxe Steering Wheel Cancel Cam-Tilt Column

Hello everyone- i installed an original 67 tilt column and I am having one heck of a time getting the horn to work properly. Can I use the original cancel cam from my non-tilt.  I put a new one that I got from Ricks in (HR-17).  The horn works when you press the button, but when I turn the wheel left or right, the horn comes on. Please help. I thought I bought the correct cancel cam?

Also, my old cam looks like the spring sits on top. The other looks like it goes underneath. Any photos would be helpful. Thank you very much.
