I am finally in the process of restoring my 69 RS/SS 350 convertible after owning it 33 years.  I have a question about the exhaust manifolds.  I removed them from the car today and tried to read the numbers on them. I know they are original as I purchased the car from the first owner. The car spent it's first eight years in New England and the manifold numbers are very difficult (if not impossible) to read.  Can anyone tell me what the numbers are supposed to be and if they would keep these manifolds or try to find a less pitted set. Thanks.

I'll take a shot.

Should be:
LH: 3942527 (has AIR holes) or 3942529 (no AIR holes)
RH: 3946826 (has AIR holes) or 3932376 (no AIR holes)

Says A/T doesn't have AIR and M/T does...

This according to Chevrolet by the Numbers...

Thanks for the numbers. If I squint, turn my head a little, and hold my mouth just right, I can see those numbers in my manifolds. Well, should I bead blast the manifolds, paint with exhaust manifold grey and move to the next parts (after all they are the original manifolds)? Or try to find a better pair. Any comments are welcome. Thanks.

I'm definitely no expert in the referb. of cast.  You may want to try posting in a tech. or restoration section on Team Camaro.  I would say that there are products out there now that convert rust and leave a "natural" finish.  I'm not so sure bead blasting a porus metal is a good thing???  Anyway, there are a number of experts here and on Team Camaro that will be able to point you in the right direction.  I'm still just beginning to learn...
