I know for sure that there was a Military Performance Tour in 1970 that went to Vietnam, Japan and the Philippines  with those

other guys    "Lawman" Mustang drag cars, one of which got dropped or crushed unloading.

And Don Garlits had one of his Swamp Rat rails on an aircraft carrier, but that was later.
