1969 Camaro Hood Hinges

Hi Everyone!!  Got a question for you Camaro Gurus.  On the hood hinges, there is a large "rivet" that connects the pieces of hinge together.  On the "rivet" is a letter "K" that is stamped on it.  Does anyone know what this stands for???  Mfg. Co.  (???)  thanks!

Don't know for sure, but I'm thinking it is the manufacturer, and maybe Kelsey Hayes?
