Hi,
What colour is an original, assembly line correct positraction tag for a 1969 Z28? Is it red or orange?
Thanks, Terry

Hi Jim,
The photos you provided look identical to the two I posted. My CE is a late 69 date code block. Thanks for posting.  :)

Hi Everyone,
Without taking the engine apart, does the photo showing the top of the piston point towards an original piece? This block does have the correct 1178 crank. Thanks, Steve for the verification.

Originality / CE Block crankshaft and piston
December 15, 2019, 09:27:34 PM
Hi,
Are these correct for 1969 Z28 CE warranty block? It is standard bore, the pistons have no numbers and the crankshaft has one notch.
Thanks, Terry

Decoding/Numbers / Opinions on this DZ stamp
December 15, 2019, 10:57:30 AM
Hi,
Is this stamp original? The block casting is 3932386 with a date code of September 5, 1968. VIN is on engine pad but is concealed by the seller. Thanks for your expertise.

Thanks for all the comments regarding this CE block. I am hoping Kurt or anyone else knowledgeable on warranty blocks could provide some further insight on the stamp and why the number starts with a zero.
Regards, Terry :)

Since the serial number is 06579, was this CE block produced at the Flint Motor Plant (L6 engines)?

Hi Jim,
Thanks for your input regarding this CE short block. It is listed at $3025 US.
Is this a high, average or low price for a CE block?
Thanks again.
