Hi All,
I have a 68 rs/ss muncie 4speed.

Sorry if this has been talked about recently but have a question if anyone can shed some light please.
1. My Speedo cable needs replacing but it's hard to identify if the previous owners have run the cable correctly...currently running downwards from the dash through the firewall then through the chassis back around on Top of the exhaust and into the inlet on the passenger side. This seems really wrong according to the manual but not sure. Also through the same whole in the f.w. there are wires passing through as well. Is the normal?

Thankyou in advance

Matt

Hey fellas!

Having a 12 bolt diff with 3:73 ratio and multi leaf springs would that have been traditionly been specified for typically the more ppowerful cars? Or is this high ratio diff more specified for other needs

Hey guys

Just a query, is deluxe interior part of the RS package or can an rs come with standard interior.

Thanks

Im guessing by the condition its the original one, not sure what brand.  Yeah its the wheel arch in the trunk.

Hey fellas

Just about to change the wiring harness in my 68 and noticed that there is a socket on top of the wheel arch.  I'm assuming this is for
the under boot lighting if it was ordered or are the harnesses different for each?

Thanks
Matt

Restoration / Wiring lume for the trunk of a 68 rs
April 02, 2014, 05:17:43 AM
Hey Chaps

The wiring lume looks a bit tattered so I want to change the section that feeds the rear of my car (ie.lights) but following
the lume thru the trunk into the cabin it doesn't join anywhere. Does this mean that I would have to replace
the complete wiring lume in the car from front to back

Hope not

Hey,

Thats so interesting to hear about stories of the era.  Only if we could go back in time and
get a brand new Camaro or hottie just how we wanted it and for the same price lol
