Notice articles says cars 73 and later. Any reason why? I'm looking at a 69 camaro with this engine in it

Still looking for my first camaro. Not looking for numbers matching vehicle, can't write a check that big. Anyways, came across a 69 camaro with this engine. Don't know a lot other than GM only made 430. Anything I should be aware of with this engine? It's paired with a TH400/TCI transmission.

I shouldn't have used restored. This particular camaro has been updated with time period correct upgrades. I'm just trying to determine if modifying an original straight 6 to a BB does anything significant to value. Not trying to compare to a numbers matching. But if you had two 67 camaros both updated with time period correct parts one being an original 8 vs other being an original 6 does the 8 win just bc it was an original 8? Not sure if I'm making any sense here. I've just been looking for a gen 1 camaro for over a year and looked at dozens and I'm more confused now than when I started. I'm not the handiest of person but want to learn. Just looking for a good driver with little work needed in the beginning until I can learn in and outs.

I'm looking at 67 camaro it's not numbers matching and I'm not looking for a trailer queen. The vin indicates it was originally a straight 6 but it has since been restored with 396 engine, Muncie 4 speed, and 12 bolt Posi. Several other items have been upgraded too. My only concerns are the doors have more gaps on both sides then I've typically seen and the door hinges need to be replaced bc you have to lift slightly to close. Also, the trunk isn't flush when closed. Trunk sits about qtr inch higher. Owner claims it's the seals. Could the quarter panels just not have been welded evenly? Car is going for 30k and I just don't know what a car of this caliber is really worth. Owner claims many new upgrades but like I mentioned before, he's just judging from what he's looking at. Looking to buy a 67 camaro but the seller knows very little about the car as he bought from an estate sale. He claims a lot has been done to it, not by him, his "Professional" opinion. Anyways, I know vins weren't tracked until 1981. Any sites out there where I can find previous owners and maybe find out what was truly done and maybe who did them?

Is there anything I should be leary about when dealing with this type of mod? Anything else that should have been changed or upgraded?

Looking at purchasing a 67 with a 454 engine. I know 454's weren't standard for camaros so I was wondering if there was anything to worry about. It's currently paired with a turbo 400 trans, is that enough?

What type of headers, cam, and pipes you recommend? Best value.

Two questions:

1- What's the best way to get a more aggressive sound out of my pipes? I currently have a SB 350. My buddy has a 67 with 427 and I get jealous... Don't have the money to upgrade to bigger engine so I need best bang for my buck.

2- what are some cost effective things I could do to my 350 to get a little more HP?

Looking at buying my very first gen 1 car. I'm not the most mechanically inclined person. I'm looking at purchasing a 1968 camaro with a stroker engine. I have not seen in person. Seller did tell me the only rust spot he's been able to find is on the "very bottom in the very front of both rear quarter panels". Obviously rust is a bad thing but how bad is it in this spot and what's a ball park price in fixing it? Ill will try and get pictures.

Cowl tog looks a little rough. Haven't seen car in person but is the firewall in picture look dented? And does vin line up?

Looking to buy a gen 1 camaro that can have fun with. I have a tight budget. I came across a 68 camaro clone and I really don't know what all that means. Attached are a couple pics and brief description from seller. FYI he's asking 25k. I don't want a numbers matching car.

Does this vin 124379N657438 line up with below cowl tag?

This is only other pic I got. He has title which shows vin of 124377N166208.

I'm just concerned why it's there instead of cowl tag.
