When I got the car the motor had been swapped to a 350 and a 700R4 tranny.  I have the original(?) inline 250 and powerglide tranny. I think I figured out the pic problem.  If so, i'll post....

Funny, there is no 3 in front of the 877178??  The casting date is G76....July 7, 66?   That's starting to make more sense.......
I wish I could get a picture up.  I've set my camera to smallest resolution but the file's still too big.

Also found 877178 with either a "O" or a "C" at the end with GM29 underneath

best I can tell for casting # is 3859381 with GM 22 underneath.  Some of the 3's and 8's look similar but I think I have it correct.  The engine code is F0810FM NOT F0310FM

I have myself a 67 camaro convertible 250.  I'm trying to find out if the inline 6 250 is original to the car.  No serial numbers were stamped on block so I can't confirm that way.  There is a code of 0810FM on the block.  The FM suffix is corrrect for a 67 camaro.  From what I understand, the 0810 means August 10th? .....but my trim tab shows my car 04A (first week of April).  So that doesn't add up unless the 0810 engine code is referring to 1966.  Is that possible?   The car has about 80K original miles so I can't imagine someone putting an entire new engine in this.......especially another period correct six.  Any input would be very appreciated.  Thanks much!

i still cant find a pic of a pre 10b with a 4p.  if theres documentation in the db why would a pic be so hard to find?

I was just kidding, MO's getting so worked up I wanted to throw some fuel on his fire (and it worked).  KurtS spelled out the possibilities of what the car may have been stock very clearly.  I will continue my worldwide search to find a picture of a pre 10B cowl tag with a 4P..........

Thanks for the help guys.  On a different note; I'm leaning on puting a 700R4 tranny in soon.  Would it be wise for me to keep the powerglide for "someday"?  Not positive, but I'm sure it's original to car.  Would it be a nice selling point someday to keep it?  Original motor is long gone so the #'s matching aspect is gone.  I would have to pay an extra core charge for tranny if I were to keep it is the reason I'm asking.

well it had a black bumble bee stripe on the nose and the hood had cool louvers on it.  it had a 12 bolt rear end, dual exhaust and a 350ci engine

havent had it long but ill avg a tank of gas per week during the summer.  i dont drive it in the rain and it rains alot here in portland.  speedo's broke so instead of miles i go in terms of tanks

correction....they were 15x7 on all four

i was just watching a 67 convertible on ebay that had 15x8 torq thrusts on all four.  i love that look and am thinking about them as well.  i guess i wont order any just yet!  ill also need to make sure theyll work when i put discs up front.  my local les scwhab has a pair in stock... i may be able to try them on.  good luck with your venture
