Small block heater core so if it was an SS it was a X11 or X55. Wonder what plain jane car the trim tag ended up on...

Restoration / headliner?
February 13, 2019, 03:20:29 PM
Is the part circled in the pic for attaching the headliner? It seems to have some fabric remnants on it. Is it removable?

Restoration / 2 part question
February 12, 2019, 04:41:52 PM
1st. Is a 67-69 firebird deck lid the same as a 67-69 camaro lid?

2nd. I already have an unpainted aftermarket deck lid for my camaro but have the opportunity to buy an original 1st gen firebird lid for 50 bucks that is in excellent condition.
Is it better to go with the GM lid over the aftermarket?

My car is not a concours restoration by no means and has aftermarket hood, fenders, front valance, and bumpers. The only GM metal on my car is the doors, trunk and floor pans, roof, and 20% of the 1/4's.

Restoration / 69 RS reverse lights install question
January 30, 2019, 09:10:26 PM
I'm getting ready to cut my tail panel and wanted to find out from the people that have already done it.
My GM original reverse lights have two lower mounting screws but the top only has a stud on one side but I see the pics show 2 holes for the top mount.
So is it correct that the assembly is only held on by the two screws?

So much wrong with that car. They sure do talk it up in the description lol. Someone has been watching too much Barrett Jackson.

Typical "auction" car. It will show up at Mecum or BJ and sell for what he's asking.

Those SS Z-28's seem to be multiplying.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: Caveat Emptor...check those tags

Not a big deal imo about the dash. He does state "Full Resto" I would be more concerned about lack of drivetrain pics and the cowl tag. And no mention of how much GM sheet metal remains. I think $40K is tops for this car. Unless it goes to Barrett (insert rolleyes emoticon)

Very cool. I love seeing these "time capsule" finds. Good luck with the build.

Congrats on the new car. Best color choice imo.
