Sorry I didn't see this reply until today. The build code of my Camaro is 01B. It is a SS/RS with column shirt, power glide and front bench seat.

I know this is an old thread but I had to chime in on this subject. My car is also a 67 RS,SS and had no Carpet Guard. I am the original owner and was not aware there was anything like a Carpet Guard until I seen it in a parts catalog, when I was doing my restoration. At the time, I brought up the subject on Team Camaro and over there, everyone said the Carpet Guard was standard. Over here I notice its the other side of the coin. I got a Carpet Guard for the restoration, put never installed it.

General Discussion / Original Owners
July 27, 2016, 08:14:15 PM
With the 50th Camaro Anniversary starting in Sept. I started a Original Owners thread for first generation Camaros on the Team Camaro site. I know there are not many original first generation owners still around. That's why I thought it would be interesting that the original owners we have post some vintage photos of their car. Maybe any info about the car or story's you may want to share.
If you want to check out or join the thread you will find it at Camaros.net in the Bench Racing section.
Hope to see you at TC.

Originality / Q-jet Difference
February 19, 2013, 03:07:27 PM
I have a Q-jet carb on my car that by the numbers it is for a 67 car with A.I.R. I had my carb rebuilt maybe 30 years ago and they must of slipped me a service carb in place of rebuilding my original. My car has no pollution stuff on it (never did) and I haven't notice any plug on the carb to connect the pollution hoses. This carb I have my be a combination of my original carb and a different body.

The carb I have is 7037218 BD and the book says I should have 7027202 DB. Before I spend $600.00 on a different carb the question I have is, could someone please tell me what the difference is between the two carbs?

Joe the air cleaner is not original. The valve covers and the oil fill tube look original. The fill tube is for a enclosed system polution equiped car from LA. The wire separators are not original. Good luck with your project.

Originality / 67 350 Coil
November 17, 2011, 12:28:24 AM
I am looking for a replacement coil for my 67 350. The coil that was on it was 5 1/4" tall and the only replacements I can find are 6" and over tall. The taller coils hit the air cleaner when I put it on. It would be great if some one had a part number for a coil that will fit under the air cleaner. All the parts on my car are stock.
