I am about to paint my 68 this winter as well.  In fact here in KC, there is a place (KC Auto Panel) that sells all of the repop sheet metal which is where I got my quarters and fenders.  Just last week, I looked at their front and rear bumpers and they look AWESOME!!!!!

So what all can be painted with the #7777 Rustoleum?

sounds like you have the bushings in right

Can't remember what the diameter of the alignment holes are.  Measure it and buy a woodedn dowl

Did you take the frame out from under the car?  This is what I would do if I were you....

1st  Put the car up on stands.  Make sure your level from front to back by putting a level on the rocker panels.  Then make sure the car is level from side to side by putting your level on the flatest part of the dash.

2nd  There are alignment holes in the middle of the sub frame and at the front body mount by the firewall.  Stick a dowl rod through both holes and make sure it's plum.  Lock down your body bushings.  This is the best way to get the subframe as close as possible

3rd  Realign all front end sheet starting from the door jamb forward.

This is how I did mine after I had the frame powder coated and all new front end sheet metal.  It worked well and have almost identical panel gaps all the way around.  It took a long time and a lot of beer with my buddy.  Came out the next morning to verify that we werren't too drunk and it was good to go.  LoL

I agree whole heartedly if I was building a car that would be a trailer queen.  No offense.
My car is a standard coupe 327 that will be driven.

Also just to add to this.....  What are the substitutes in rattle can paints.  I'm on a budget and can't afford $50 a piece for some of these

I know this has probably been asked a million times but I'm having a hard time finding the threads specific to what I need.  So...here it goes.  Does anyone have a chart for what part is to be painted what color?  Items from the power steering gear box to the hood latch between the core support and header.  I'm most likely gonna be using dupli-color rattle cans for part painting but whatever brand/color is suggested is the route that I'll take.
