I sent mine to The Clock Works in Eagle River, WI. They did an excellent job. I did not have it converted to Quartz.

Does any place sell stainless tail pipes, without buying the complete exhaust system?

General Discussion / Re: Storage during off season ?

I have mine up on ramps and covered. I keep the heat at 50 degrees. I also put a fan in the front blowing under the car. It helps to keep the moisture away.

Here is a better picture of the distributor. I have a chance to buy these, but it doesn't look good.

Wanting opinions on whether these are restamps.

General Discussion / 68 Z/28 with Headers and A.I.R.
March 01, 2018, 01:56:17 PM
I was reading the 1968 Z/28 road test in the June 1968 Road & Track Magazine. This picture got my attention. I have never seen a Z/28 with headers and A.I.R. The article says that the headers were from the "dealers list" and installed by Bill THomas Race Cars.

What fuel are your using? In my 1968 Z/28, which is all stock, I use 100 octane Turbo Blue which burns a lot cooler than pump gas. I've found that most unleaded fuels make a car with high compression run hotter. Remember in 1968 all gas was leaded which burned cooler then the unleaded that we use now. You might give that a try.

I don't know much about the RS/SS. I never got a chance to talk to the owner very much. It's a big block car with a lot chrome and add-ons. Nice car though. The 67 RS is pretty much all original and unrestored. It has spoilers added and it has been repainted. It's a 327 powerglide. The 69 is an original owner unrestored car with 1 repaint. It's a 307 with a  3-speed.

4 nice looking first gen Camaro's at the St. Jude Runners Car Show in Washington, IL. It was hosted by The Mid-Illinois Corvette Club. A 1967, 2 1968's and a 1969.

General Discussion / ZL-1 Camaro Dealer Ads

I found this ad on the website of the British Columbia Camaro Club which is located in Vancouver. As you can see on the top left corner this ad was in Drag World on March 7, 1969.
