Yeah, my take as well, and the trim tag matches the VIN error

The "seller" is a widely known "creative" reseller or their own "restored" vehicles ...

The 12 bolt cover on the 10 bolt axle was his 1st clue

I've been fixing their creative features for the past few years

here I am ...

there is some confusion here ... not sure how the VIN number got changed ... but the car that was sold to Mike Marsh was 124679N622383, Dave Longstreth owned / bought it here in AZ in the late 70's. It was sold to Mike in the early 80's sometime. I understand that Mike did NOT keep the fiberoptic system on the car when he had it done/redone/finished ...

I never knew of a N618845 car, I had accumulated 50-ish VIN's in the late 70's and probably early 80's, but that car was never in my VIN book

I have shared my VIN's with the Pace Car group, which is still active and has a lot more VIN's in it now ...

Just follow the tags - who bought the paperwork on ebay?
Then - who sold the stuff on a body - and who purchased it?

I do recall the car in question, body per se, that was discussed on the Camaro web forum some two years ago or so

showed two "Z28" rolling shells in a rural looking shop, one was cut in green and the other I can't recall the color of

it was a body shop that was selling them, maybe some searches will unearth the ebay item number, but it would be unlikely you would be able to pull up the sale ... possible, but not likely
