I saw a 68 302 motor for sale on FB Marketplace in Brick NJ $6000.
The VIN looks like 18N401447 and V0307MO

Here's a 350/300 engine code HN I saw on FB that says original and has 186 heads.  But who knows what could have been swapped around if it was rebuilt.  The head date does match the block really well though and it's a Flint engine.

Cool, so if someone does happen to have the car they will still have a chance to find the motor.  I think there was a DZ motor along the Jersey shore that was used in a Jersey Speed Skiff that pops up for sale once in a while.  The asking price on that one was pretty high if I remember correctly.

It was just listed yesterday and sold already, block, crank (didn't say if 1178), .060 pistons, rods, 462 heads.  The guy who listed it was Donn Eskey in Leesport PA if someone needed to contact him in the future since the ad will probably disappear soon.

I don't know if this is a legit stamping or not but I saw this listed today on FB Marketplace in PA.  It looks like 19N561327 but it probably needs more eyes to look at the picture to make sure.

General Discussion / Re: 1969 Crossram ?

I see a few clues that look like it's an original crossram.  I can't seem to find Wayne's website anymore so maybe you can reach him through his facebook page https://www.facebook.com/wayne.guinn

I have one of these key chains that my grandmother sent away for back in 67.  It's still in the original envelope addressed to her and cost $.04 to mail.

So has anyone seen where the engine and trans numbers on the POP don't match the actual engine and trans in the car which have the partial VIN's matching the car?  This is according to the thread over at Camaros.net and seems odd so I was wondering if this has been documented before.

I was able to reset my password so I'm ok over there now.  It looks like you need to reset your settings to get back to the way your options were set up.

I just tried logging in and the password saved on my computer didn't work and I have no idea what it is.  There is nothing that comes up to allow you to reset the password so I can't get in for now.  I'll give it some time before trying to contact for a password reset.

General Discussion / Re: JL8 master cylinder

In the 1969 Chassis Service Manual, there is a chart listing the master cylinder codes and their usage. Here's a few;
Camaro and Nova with power disc.......US
Chevelle with power disc....................BA
Corvette with power disc....................PG
"The two-letter identification stamp on the end of the master cylinder indicates the displacement capabilities of that particular cylinder."
There are no special service procedures for the master cyl in the 4 wheel disc section as it simply refers you to the Duo-Servo Brakes section.

If the Chevelle/FS, Camaro/Chevy II and Corvette all shared the same casting master cylinder, would the "displacement capabilities" be differences in the internal chambers of the master or differences in the pumping displacement of the piston?
