My original unmolested 69 L48 has the chrome air cleaner top and painted valve covers.

My SS350 which was built the first week of January has the 388 block .

If I am not mistaken, this "new" stuff is butane or propane or something along those lines. I seem to recall a discussion about it a few years ago on the camaros.net website. I don't know about you but I would think twice before filling my AC system with it.

Rich, I posted a reply in the original message........should of posted here. Anyhow, here is what I wrote with a little editing: The VIN on my 69 is about 600 before yours, vin # 124379N5775XX. It also has a 01b build week.  My trim tag body # is 229042 ...... not too far off! By the way, my car is a ragtop for what it's worth.

I had to remove the tail panel on my 69 vert to get the one piece trunk pan in.

On my car, I had to use a cut-off tool and cut the heads off of the bolts. Good luck!
