Attached are two pictures from a 12A LOS 67. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the info.

Joe, thanks for the reply.

The wheel codes show that they were manufactured between 3/6/68 - 1/28/70. Two wheels have a "XN" code and the other two are "XB" and "YW". Not sure what the last two codes are from as they are not listed in the CRG listing.

General Discussion / What Car Are These Wheels From?
January 29, 2024, 09:16:16 PM
When I purchased my Camaro the purchaser provided what were stated to be the original wheels and hubcaps. After doing research on this website it was obvious they were not the originally supplied wheels/hubcaps. Anyone know what vehicle(s) these may have come from?

Thanks for all the replies. I am going to pull the bulkhead connectors apart and inspect/clean all connections. I'll post what I find out.

I have been experiencing a total loss of electrical power to the car and have traced it to the red power wire connection at the firewall behind the fuse panel. See picture below, note the corrosion at the red wire. Does anyone know how this wire connection is configured through the firewall? I'm trying to determine if this is a pin type connection and if I can pull the wire out of the connection panel from the inside of the car and clean it up. I have power brakes so the booster makes it difficult to access the connectors on the engine side of the firewall.

David,

Thanks for the reply. The car originally came with the Powerglide transmission which changed out to a TH350 by a previous owner.

I know what the correct setup should be for the PCV valve, my real question is "based on my current setup, is it adequately ventilating the crankcase". Thanks for the replies.

Agreed. However, there is no other vent for outside air to enter the crankcase which is why I believe it is setup this way.

Maintenance / Another PCV Valve Setup Question
October 02, 2023, 09:59:06 AM
I have a LOS built 67 RS with the base 327 2BBL engine. The car was originally sold in December of 1966 by Merle Stone Chevrolet in Exeter, CA, so I believe it had the K19/K24 components, which were removed at some point by previous owner(s). The current set up is shown in the picture and has the PCV valve screwed into the oil fill tube and the hose going to the base of the carburetor. The oil filler cap is vented. What are the thoughts on if this is adequately venting the crankcase? Is air being mostly drawn in through the vented oil filler cap and going directly to the carburetor?

Decoding/Numbers / Clutch Fan Identification
July 08, 2023, 01:50:24 PM
I have a 67 RS 327/210 HP which currently has a flex fan installed. A clutch fan was provided when I purchased the car an I am trying to identify if it was the original clutch fan. The only numbers are "L0172SC" stamped on two places of the fan to pulley flange, an "M" or "W" stamped on one fan blade to center hub and a "4" stamped on one of the fan blades. See pictures. Any help identifying this clutch fan is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. That's the one section of the CRG website that I had not looked at.

Maintenance / 1967 Battery Rating
February 14, 2023, 09:04:54 AM
Need to replace the battery on my 1967 RS. The current battery has no markings, so I do not know the CCA rating. The only information i have been able to find regarding the original rating is "61 amp hr @ 20 hr rate". Does anyone have any specifications for the correct battery? The car is equipped with factory AC if that makes any difference.
