Although they could not tell me where my car was shipped to, they did give me the shipping date. 02D build date and shipped on March 7. To me, that was worth $50. When you are trying to put your car back "date correct" you know what parts can't possibly have come from the factory.

Stingr69, You have seen NOS without the cage nuts or repro's with them? Purchased 12 years ago and the sticker didn't fly off.

Thanks for the responses, keep them coming. Ebay item #202694307015. So has anyone seen an NOS fender without the cage nuts? I have every panel for a '69 except for the roof skin and the left front fender. All but one has the white and aqua blue sticker with the part number. On the other, you can see where the sticker had been.

Guys, I need your help. Just purchased two "GM NOS RS" fenders on Ebay. Did GM ever produce fenders without the rectangular nutserts pressed into square holes at the hood hinge location? Seller claims that at some point GM did, to save on costs. They do not have the GM parts stickers. (Seller suggests that maybe they were removed as well as any residual adhesive.) There is part of a yellow sticker with an "R" on it. I'm being told this is an "R-DOT" sticker. (Replacement-Dept. of transportation) Would this sticker ever be placed on a Genuine GM part? When placed next to a known NOS fender and a known import, they resemble the repro. The hardware for the Rally set up is smaller and there is an 05 01 stamped where the hood hinge would mount. Still driving my SS350 that I bought in 1977, so I think I know the answers. I need to see what the experts think. Thanks John
