Thanks ed, i wasn,t sure about. The stamp but was hoplng to help someone in case it was real.
I got in touch with Bob the seller, and although the VIN stamp is very light, he's going to see if he can make it out. I gave him a few tricks to try so stay tuned folks...

Bob was able to do a little more detective work and it appears the VIN is 1???44692, which is probably 19N544692. I've added this information to the subject of the thread for future searches.

Sorry, old thread here but I purchased this car but have had no luck finding the born with motor.
FWIW, I have spoke to Bob ( the Craigslist seller from the above ad ) and he said he sold the engine to a gentleman named Greg who was from Vallejo CA. Said he sold it to Greg at the Goodguys show in Pleasanton CA around 2012 or 2013. He did not have Greg's phone number though. Just another little tidbit.
