Title: Gear oil capacity of Muncie M20/M21/M22...

Hey guys....

Anyone know how much 80/90 gear oil to properly fill a drained Muncie transmission?

According to my Chiltons,  3 pints.

Fill it to the bottom of the fill hole and install the plug.

Just make sure the trans is level.

Sorry John I just had to add that, seen too many over and under filled Munices because they were not level on fill.

Hey guys, thank you for the info.

I am curious though. How close to 3 pints is used when filling the Muncie using the "fill 'till it runs out of the hole while trans is level" method?

About 2-1/2 pints.
