Anyone run across the above combination in the last 50 years or so ? Car was purportedly sold new from Washburn Chevrolet in Santa Clara CA; I may have happened upon the original owner of the car. It's an unusual enough combination to be picked out of a crowd for sure -
Owner is unsure if any documentation or photos remain in his possession on the car, he's looking. Considering how '68's need all the help possible with proving originality, I thought I might bait the hook a bit.
I assume it is likely an LOS build, always an outside chance of an "imported" Norwood car. Non-RS car, black standard interior reportedly.
Regards,
Steve
CRG has information about the "special paint" option for the 1968 Camaro:

When my friend bought a 1968 Z28, the original owner didn't like the stripes, so the hood was repainted in body color, which was British Green. I remember that you could see white paint on the bottom of the inner cowl panel. Unfortunately, we didn't look at the trim tag and don't have information on the VIN number. The license was California XCR 771.
Washburn Chevrolet was in Santa Barbara, Calif.
