Title: 68 distributor paint marks
Post by: KurtS on May 12, 2025, 10:59:07 PM
I have this nice original 68 distributor. It show how they painted the color ID stripe on it - it was clearly done with a gun, not a brush.
There is a fair amount of overspray from painting the engine. You can see the spot were the distributor clamp was located.

Cool. I will look to see what I have too.

Years ago I sent like half a dozen nice examples to Dale M. for his chevellestuff website.

Same distributor number, same paint.

I have a 298 distributor with a small amount of green pain left. Don't know if it's the same shade or a slightly different green. Might be darker.

A few more.

The 1111152 clearly shows sprayed.
