A user on the Forum named WorkinProgress posted that he had a 302 Z/28 Motor for VIN19N704171, that is my car and would love to know if anyone has his contact information. I would like to buy the motor and return it to its rightful place in my engine bay
Please Help Me
Does anyone know Warren email address, I believe he is user WorkinProgress
He was last seen here on Oct 1st, '21. Good luck.... I hope you find him. Have you tried a PM?
WorkinProgress was Warren Malkin, Jr. He passed away shortly after his last post, October 2021.
I have been in contact with a family friend and should know more about motor soon
Thanks All
I finally found the original owner of my car in 2017 after owning the car since 1981. Exchanged emails, stories, and he sent me photos of the car. After years of unanswered "Hey, how's it going" type emails, I decided to look at the obituaries in his home town. Sure enough, he passed away in 2021.
I'm in the process of trying to find and contact family members to relay my condolences, and eventually inquire about if they had found any other documents or pictures related to the car.
You can't take it for granted, the short time we all have here on this Earth.

And Warren was a good person and so full of Camaro knowledge. He helped me with info for a book I was working on and he is missed by many. RIP Warren......
Just wanted to give an update, I was able to reunite the motor with car. Thank You All
Fantastic news. Congrats!
That's amazing!
Congratulations.
I know the struggle, I know the shop that has my cars original engine, and they just absolutely will not sell it.
Frustrating to know who has it and where it is and not be able to do anything about it
Great News Mr. Ipar69!
Outstanding!

That's worse than not knowing the whereabouts of the engine at all. I'm sure you've tried every purchase arrangement, barter deal, etc...etc.... wow.....What is his stance on why he won't agree to part with it?
I definitely would keep calling that shop for your engine. That's just wrong
