Title: Air Cleaner Decal
Post by: Turbo86 on February 07, 2024, 12:11:10 PM
I am looking for a new air cleaner service decal for my 1968 327, 210/hp, 4 Speed Manual w/o AC (early build 12C). This is a pic of my original decal, but does not match the aftermarket service decal available on line for the 327, 210 HP. I have no reason to believe the air cleaner is not original: however, could it have been replaced with a used one from another car? I did find the decal, but not for a Camaro? So, is the CI 6483655 the correct decal? I looked and could not find any manufacture marks or dates on the air cleaner or lid to determine its originality. Other decals I found for the 327/210hp are the CH 6424425 and the 6424492 (no letters).

Might ask Don Lightfoot.  He doesn't have a 68 listed but has 69.  If he has enough info he might be able to make one for you.  He does great work and I have bought from him in the past.  Good experience.

I second Don.  I also have an early 69 (oct 68) 327/210.  We worked out a custom black/gold label and it came out well.

Thank you, I can reach out to Don. Out of curiosity, am I to assume this is the correct label? Why is it different than what is currently available?  All the searching I've done and nothing pops up.  You think someone would have posted something.
