Title: 1969 Z28 10 10 X33D80

Since everyone's default is to assume it's fake, please evaluate this trim tag and provide me your thoughts.  Car is non-original engine, so no validation hope there.

As of January 1969, black became an extra-cost RPO color.

It's a repro tag for another reason.

Thanks William.  So would a black 69 Camaro built after January have "--" on the trim tag?

No.

In fact, black was initially an RPO color as of early '69 ordering info. It was later dropped, but the few early black cars that did get ordered/built had 10 10 paint codes.

Nope would have paint code. Had a February car that was ruff. But somebody else restored it.

My survivor June 69 black Camaro has 10 10 on cowl tag.
