N656040 was final assembled on or about June 12, 1969. Body tag, such as it is, is dated 08A; first week August 1969.
Number on the tag is not consistent with production in that time frame.
I didn't see the VIN in the ad....
It is listed in the vehicle description.
"...1969 CAMARO Z/28 REAL X33 Z28..."
Interesting grill emblem placement.
I sent the Dealer a heads up with a link to the production VIN page. Lets see if he follows the link and realizes the tag is a fake.
My 69Z is an 06A with 6/6/69 final assembly date, body tag is 344xxx if this helps.
IIRC that all June 69 cars built in June have a body tag 06A? Has anyone seen any 06B, 06C, 06D, 06E trim tags on a Camaro?
All 1969 NOR June order releases were 06A, all July orders were 07A.
Was this related to the Norwood labor strike back then?
There was no strike at Norwood. There was a strike at Van Nuys April 28 - June 18.
