I have my original quick ratio steering arm and I'm wondering if anyone has rebuild one? Thanks!
I don't think there is a rebuild for them. Check the rod end for excessive wear and have the arm magnafluxed for cracks. If it checks out, replace the ball joint and you should be good to go.
Somebody said Rare Parts does them but I've never looked into it....Joe
Thanks guys, everything else looks great, the ball joint on the end has play in it unfortunately.
If someone does them I'd like to know. If not, it is considered a wear component. If you have a a million dollar car like a Mopar then don't worry about it. Anyone on this site have a million dollar Camaro? How about a half million. Love to read about it.
Unfortunately that component can't be rebuilt. Unfortunately getting another GM one is impossible to find. You might get lucky on eBay, but get ready to pay big time. I found one on there two years ago for $450. That's the biggest puckering I've had ever experienced (well -next to the rear Vigilite indicator) I was a moron, but when you gotta have it, you have to have it.
i thought edgemnont had one rebuilt? lloyd u out here?
We've definitely all been there, I've paid up on those "gotta have it" items as well! Hopefully someone out there has done it!
I have (2) nos ones. I'll have to look for them in the containers.

Eddie, I cosmetically restored the original pitman arm that was in in good condition, but not mechanically rebuilt it. (https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48803400828_b3909e24af_c.jpg)
