Title: Caveat Emptor...tag swap?

That is a Norwood VIN for a car final assembled on or about February 12, 1969. Has an 01C Van Nuys body tag. One or both tags are not original to the car.

WOW!
If that VIN was swapped it is a major issue
...although I like what they did to the car.

They are not trying to hide it. They decoded the BT for us.

So what? They simply weren't aware of the discrepancy. If the VIN tag does not match the con VIN, registering it in another state may be a problem. If the con VIN comes up stolen, buyer could lose the car and the money.

This is displayed at the bottom of the description for all cars consigned to B-J AZ.

VIN NOTICE: DEPENDING ON THE STATE OF REGISTRATION OF THE BUYER, THE VEHICLE MAY REQUIRE AN INSPECTION AND BE SUBJECT TO A STATE-ISSUED VIN AND/OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THAT STATE.
