Ok, so I need to remove the clutch cross shaft to re-work my brake lines. Anyone have any tricks for re-installing it as there is a stud which has to slip into a fork mounted to the sub frame. The problem is reaching between the inner fender and the frame to re-install the stud into the fork, as it very close to the inner fender and getting my hand and/or wrench in there is tight. I'm working from inside the front wheel well with the tire removed.
Would it be easier to remove the subframe mount, mount the shaft, then re-mount it to the subframe? I can't remember it being very hard to get to.
There are 3 bolts on the sub frame mount/bracket. The top one will not come out unless the inner fender is moved or bent. But I can move the bracket around with 2 of the bolts removed, and maybe that makes it easier. I'm going to find out, HaHa!
Its tight. I do not recall much pain but I like to use the ratcheting box wrench.
I have unscrewed the ball off the block and taken it off that way.
